23 September 2025 – Mega Fortris Berhad sponsored the EcoLegacy: Trees for Tomorrow programme at Hutan Simpan Ayer Hitam (HSAH) in Puchong, also known as the Sultan Idris Shah Forestry Education Centre (SISFEC). As part of this programme, we initiated a tree planting exercise on the 20th of September, from 8:30 in the morning.

Organised by Putra Business School in collaboration with Mega Fortris Berhad, and supported by the Selangor Forestry Department, UPM’s Faculty of Forestry and Environment, and the Selangor Youth Community, the programme was officiated by His Royal Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj, the Crown Prince of Selangor and Chancellor of Putra Business School. The event brought together corporate partners, students, alumni, and community members in a collective effort to foster forest conservation and environmental education.

As part of the ceremony, His Royal Highness planted a Merbau tree (Intsia palembanica)1, Malaysia’s National Tree since 23 August 2019. Known for its exceptional strength and durability, the Merbau is a high-quality hardwood species that thrives in lowland areas up to 1,000 metres above sea level.

As a key corporate sponsor, Mega Fortris supported the planting of 150 young trees, including Jambu Bol (Syzygium malaccense)2, Mentega (Diospyros blancoi)3, Asam Gelugur (Garcinia atroviridis)4, Kandis (Garcinia xanthochymus)5, Macang (Mangifera foetida)6, and Petai (Parkia speciosa)7. The initiative was further strengthened by the active participation of 30 Mega Fortris staff volunteers.

Mega Fortris contributed 150 units of our Triple Tight SP Seal to tag the newly planted trees. The seals are made with BioSphere bio-additives, enabling them to decompose once the tags are no longer needed.

This initiative is another example of Mega Fortris’ ongoing commitment to integrating sustainability into its business practices and CSR initiatives, reinforcing its role as a responsible corporate citizen dedicated to creating a secure and sustainable future.
